This book is primarily about redemption and the personal experience of one man who happens to be a priest. It enters the dark world of addiction and existential loneliness.
It speaks of the ever available presence of God and his love, no matter where we find ourselves as human beings. Contemporary humanity experiences the terrible possibility in their psyche of eternal annihilation with the ‘illness of meaning’, which sometimes describes addiction perfectly, as well as the feeling of fear and aloneness on this planet.
Prayed Out offers the experience of one man who has discovered his God again in the dark places of his humanity and other people’s, including the experience of being gay and still regarded as precious, loved and even liked by this fast, often elusive God, always having moved on when we think we have found him.
