In recent years the problem of child sexual abuse within the church has been widely exposed. The reaction of the hierarchy has been, in most cases, a legal response, rather than a pastoral response. There has also been a tendency both amongst the hierarchy and in the media, to treat all abuse as the same thing and as a specifically paedophile problem.This collection proposes a series of pastoral responses emphasising the care of both victim and perpetrator.
